A pioneer of integrative medicine, Dr. Chen Keji, tells about his childhood contact with traditional Chinese medicine, and how he later took upon the study of Chinese medicine after his training in Western medicine.
Dr. Chen became one of the most prominent figures in integrative medicine in China. As a cardiologist, educator and researcher, his most important contribution is in disseminating the concept of integrative medicine across China and throughout the world, particularly in the area of cardiology. He is former president of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine and Academician of the China Academy of Science. Many first-generation integrators in China shared a very similar journey.
